According to the report, a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle around 5.50 pm on the Raemerich roundabout in Esch. The victim was about to cross the crosswalk when a car driving from Belval failed to stop. The injured person was unresponsive and was brought to the hospital after receiving first aid on site.
The driver was not injured but remains in shock after having witnessed the distressful event. According to emergency services of Luxembourg City, Esch, and Mondercange were at the scene.
A further accident occurred just after 8 pm on the CR164 between Schifflange and Foetz, where two cars collided. The Esch emergency services along with the Schifflange fire brigade were at the scene.
On Thursday morning at around 7.15am, a car turned over on Rue Burgronn, Esch-sur-Alzette, leaving one person injured.
