Paul Maréchal will take over as mayor of Vichten from Luc Recken in spring 2026, the municipality confirmed in a press release on Wednesday evening. Recken will become alderman as part of a previously agreed rotation arrangement.
Following the 2023 municipal elections, it was announced that Maréchal would assume the role of mayor halfway through the legislative term, with Recken serving as first alderman.
