Representatives believe that in case of an unclear test result, a patient should automatically receive a new appointment for a second test. The association further demands explanations on the occurrence of faulty results. The Luxembourg Institute of Health currently advises people to wait 24 to 48 hours before taking another test to determine a clear result.
It was moreover lamented that laboratories are required to inform patients about a second test, but that this was seldom turned into practice.
