This committee dealt with a range of themes, including health, the fight against social exclusion, precariousness and homelessness, as well as prostitution.
Henri Kox had already taken part in the joint parliamentary committee of 24 June 2021 to discuss the repressive aspect of the inter-ministerial memorandum, which concerns the field of police, immigration and justice, in the presence of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (Directorate of Immigration), the Ministry of the Interior, the Grand-Ducal police and the public prosecutor's office.
Ministers Claude Meisch and Corinne Cahen, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Equality took part in this second joint commission to draw up an overview of the situation, the steps already taken, the persistent obstacles and the future avenues to be envisaged in order to combat drug-related crime in Luxembourg.
The discussions showed once again that this issue is very complex and involves multiple actors according to their own field of competence, but with equal responsibility.
A consultation debate will take place at a later date.
