Upper Sûre LakeOnline reservations mandatory as of Saturday

RTL Today
People looking to spend a day at Upper Sûre Lake will have to book their stay in advance as of Saturday.

The information first reported by Luxemburger Wort has been confirmed by the mayor of the municipality of Lac de la Haute-Sûre, René Michels.

Booking will be mandatory for the municipalities of Lultzhausen, Insenborn, Liefrange, Rommwiss, Burfelt, and Baschleiden, but only on weekends. The reason for this new measure is the regular influx of visitors at Upper Sûre Lake on sunny days – despite the pandemic.

The responsible municipal authorities will provide further details on how to use the booking system in the upcoming days.

The Minister of Internal Security, François Bausch, has also announced that he will be sending additional security personnel to the affected communes in order to help them control visitors of the lake.
