Burglars in Luxembourg are adopting increasingly creative tactics, as demonstrated by a recent incident in Differdange where a woman was used as bait in an armed robbery.
The victim, a Differdange resident, had invited a woman he met on a dating platform to his home on Saturday evening. Shortly after her arrival, the doorbell rang.
The woman opened the door, allowing three individuals to enter. The intruders allegedly threatened the victim with a firearm and, when he attempted to defend himself, physically assaulted him before stealing his phone and laptop. The woman, who had orchestrated the meeting, fled the scene along with the three assailants.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
