KirchbergOne Injured, three rescued following kitchen fire

The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps rescued three people in Kirchberg on Friday afternoon, after a fire broke out in a residential kitchen.

At around lunchtime on Friday, the emergency services were called to a residence on Rue Jos Keup in Kirchberg. Three people were evacuated from the property via a ladder. One person sustained injuries as a result. The operation was conducted by Hesperange, Niederanven and Luxembourg City fire brigades.

Meanwhile, a field fire broke out in Schrondweiler at around 1pm. The Larochette fire brigade and ambulance service were assisted by colleagues from Nordstad and Nommern. No injuries were reported.

Two road accidents were also reported across Luxembourg on Friday afternoon. In Esch-sur-Alzette, one person was injured in a crash on Rue Dellheicht at 2.37pm. Later, a car and a motorcycle collided on the CR339 between Kalborn and Tintesmühle. The air ambulance, firefighters from Clervaux and a Nordstad ambulance were deployed to the scene.
