While Minister for Family Affairs Corinne Cahen stressed that she had no intention of privatising anything, the Independent Luxembourg Trade Union Confederation (OGBL) argues that this is not made clear in the draft bill.

On the contrary: According to the OGBL, the draft bill stipulated a consolidation of certain services under private companies, which would be managed by Servior. This supposedly includes administrative, technological, and logistical tasks as well as catering.

In addition, the OGBL argues that a new law is not even necessary, if privatisation is indeed not the Minister's goal. This is why the trade union once again calls for the law to be revoked all together.
