Burglars targeted a number of spots in the Grand Duchy over the last few days, including a jeweller's, perfume store, as well as private residences.

Thieves broke into a jewellery store on Avenue de la Porte-Neuve in Luxembourg City at some point between 14 and 17 November. They gained access through a side window and were said to have stolen valuable watches.

On Tuesday night, burglars broke into a perfume store on Route de Longwy in Rodange, breaking a window in the process. They abandoned their plans to rob the shop and escaped via car.

A resident of Pétange caught an intruder in the act as he attempted to break into their home on Tuesday evening shortly before 7pm. The would-be thief fled the scene.

Valuables including jewellery and watches were stolen from a single family house on Rue de Fleurs in Mondercange, with the incident thought to have taken place between 11.30am and 1.30pm on Tuesday.
In Esch-sur-Alzette, a Roscoe bike worth €1,350 was stolen from a garage on Rue Eugène Reichling on Tuesday, between 11am and 1pm.

Police have launched investigations for all cases.
