
Over a year, the increase in the number of jobs has reached 2.9%, according to figures published by STATEC on Thursday morning.
The number of Luxembourg residents who are non-EU residents, has risen more than any other, with over 23,400 third-country nationals currently working in the Grand Duchy.

STATEC also noted that the margin between working residents and cross-border workers has reduced. The Grand Duchy has 251,708 employees who also live in Luxembourg, compared to 221,500 cross-border workers.
The most growth in the workforce in the first quarter of 2023 took place in the financial and insurance sector, which counted an increase of 3.9%.
