On Saturday night, between 9.30pm and 6am, the police had to intervene in around forty cases. From private parties over noisy neighbours to noise pollution in bars.
Public fights were also reported in several places throughout the night. However, by the time the officers arrived most of these disputes were already over. In the fights where the police were able to check on, none of the people involved wished to lodge a complaint or seek police assistance.
During a fight that occurred at a party in Betrange, one person was injured. They were admited to the hospital with a shoulder injury.
In Clausen, at around 3am, a brawl has escalated. By the time the police arrived, the fight was over. Only one slightly injured person was still at the site. However, during their investigation, the officers kept being interrupted by a drunken man who also harassed passers-by and demanded that police officers drive him home. The man did not respond to repeated requests to stop this behaviour and leave the premises. As a result, it was decided to place him in a drunk tank.
Another drunk tank was used last night in Ettelbrück, where a drunk man displayed angry and aggressive behaviour at a gas station.
