The lack of parking spots available to students of the new Agricultural Secondary School (LTA) in Gilsdorf and the resulting danger from pupils walking along the N14 already made headlines a few weeks ago.
Although there are 100 on-site parking spots available to educational staff and visitors, there are still no plans to set up additional spots for pupils. Minister for Mobility and Public Works François Bausch provided this information in his response to a parliamentary enquiry from MP Martine Hansen from the Christian Social People’s Party (CSV).
Minister Bausch argued that there is not enough space on site. Nevertheless, he explained that the Mobility Plan 2035 envisions a multi-storey car park to be built next to the Diekirch pool. Furthermore, the Bridges and Roads Authority is working a concept to accommodate pedestrians and cyclists in the area. A new path along the N14 will likely be set up in 2024.
