
The temperature at Findel reached 36.3°C on Thursday, marking the hottest June day ever recorded at the reference weather station since records began in 1947. The previous June record was 35.4°C, set on 22 June 2017.
According to Meteolux, the five highest June temperatures ever measured at Findel are as follows:
1. 25 June 2026 – 36.3°C
2. 22 June 2017 – 35.4°C
3. 26 June 2019 – 34.7°C
4. 27 June 1947 – 34.3°C
5. 18 June 2002 – 33.8°C
The highest temperature ever recorded at Findel remains 39°C, which was measured on 25 July 2019.
More records possible Meteorological experts told RTL that this new record may be broken again over the next two days, as the current heatwave continues.
