
The new campaign hopes to remind motorists to respect the mandatory safety measures around cyclists which have been included in the Highway Code since 2018 (Article 125). Failure to comply with this provision is punishable by a charge of 74 euros, the campaign reiterates.

With increased safety campaigns, Luxembourg hopes to further encourage travelling by bike for short and medium distance travel. So far, the state has offered aid for bike purchases, overseen an increase in the number of cycle paths, and built a giant parking project at the railway station, to name a few.
