The Kirchberg police station is relocating: from now on, the premises will be found at 6A, rue du Fort Niedergrünewald in localities entirely designed, built and fitted out according to the specific needs of a police station.
Out of a total surface area of nearly 640 m2, some 120 square metres are specifically intended for public reception - a clear increase compared to the former site, which was no longer adapted to operational needs or to the reception of citizens. Equipped with a spacious counter, the bright public area will therefore provide a more comfortable and discreet service for the citizen.
Close to the main roads and public transport (tram, bus, funicular), the new police station is easily accessible, even for people with reduced mobility.
The relocation to a newly constructed building is also intended to improve the quality of the working environment for staff. Apart from the safety criteria, the latest standards of well-being at work have been taken into account in the development of the site. Furniture and equipment have thus been chosen according to their ergonomics, while bay windows render the setting pleasant and luminous. Apart from this, the growth of the workforce due to recruitment efforts was also taken into consideration.
Apart from preventive and repressive interventions, the agents are available by appointment from 7 am to 9 pm from Monday to Friday. In general, a walk-in service is available from 1 pm to 3 pm.
However, please note that due to the pandemic, the reception of the public is currently only done in the Luxembourg (Verlorenkost), Diekirch, Esch/Alzette and Grevenmacher police stations.
