In 2022, 22 million passengers travelled with the Luxembourg National Railway Company (CFL). Although this figure is impressive, it still falls short of the pre-crisis levels.

According to CFL’s recently published annual report, almost 90% of trains were on time in 2022, with the management now aiming for a rate exceeding 92% in the upcoming year.

In addition, 2.4 million tonnes of cargo were transported last year, and the 81 CFL buses covered no less than 7.5 million kilometres.

Looking towards the future, CFL is committed to improving both its infrastructure and and its vehicles. Company executives acknowledge that ongoing construction work can be a source of inconvenience for customers, but they stress that these endeavours are vital and assure passengers that every possible measure is being taken to minimise disruption.
