As a result of the flooding, the road had to be closed and access to the highway was not possible.

At the lowest point on this road, an underground drain was clogged, preventing water from draining during rainfall. According to the Luxembourg National Road Administration (Ponts et Chaussées), efforts will be made to address this issue and clear the clogging from the drain starting next week.

Cleaning measures should be effective; however, as stated by the director of the Roads Administration, there is no guarantee that the measure will work completely. In fact, it is possible that another drain on a different part of the road could be blocked, leading to significant flooding.

A ditch will also be dug as an additional measure to facilitate the overflow of water.
