The authorities reported a series of accidents throughout Luxembourg on Wednesday, leaving three people injured.

Two crashes occurred on the A1 within the space of an hour on Wednesday afternoon. The first happened at 5.55pm, when two cars collided.

Just over an hour later, several vehicles were involved in a second collision, in which one person was injured. The exact number of vehicles involved in the second accident was not specified.

Rescue teams from Luxembourg City and Findel attended the first incident, which caused no injuries, while teams from Luxembourg City and Hesperange responded to the second.

Shortly after 6pm, two cars were involved in an accident on the N7 near Marnach in the direction of Fischbach. No one was injured, and rescue teams from Clervaux attended the scene.

At 8.24pm, a car hit a pedestrian on the main road in Sandweiler, leaving one person injured. Rescue teams from Sandweiler and Luxembourg City were deployed.

Later in the evening, at around 11.30pm, a car overturned on the N14 near Diekirch in the direction of Stegen. One person was injured and received treatment from emergency services from Nordstad.

These incidents followed a serious accident the previous day. At around midday, emergency services and police were alerted to a collision involving four cars on the N7. The impact forced one vehicle off the road, where it struck a tree and came to a halt on a dirt track a few metres from the N7.

According to reports from the scene, emergency medical services attended the scene alongside the rescue services. Three people were taken to hospital, including at least one who was seriously injured.

The stretch between Hoscheid and Hoscheid-Dickt was closed while emergency crews carried out rescue and clean-up operations.
