On Monday night, a man walking in the Gare district was attacked by three individuals who proceeded to steal his mobile phone and wallet. The victim escaped without injury. Police in the capital have launched an investigation into the incident.
In Esch-sur-Alzette, intruders gained access to a house on Rue de Belvaux, where they searched a number of rooms before fleeing the scene.
Another break-in was reported on Rue du Parc in Schifflange on Monday evening, where the intruders searched the house for valuables before they were caught by the residents. The suspects were able to flee before police arrived, taking jewellery items with them. Police launched a search but were unsuccessful in locating the perpetrators.
