PoliceMugging in Limpertsberg; two injured in accidents

Thursday was a day of action for the Grand Duchy's police, as a mugging took place at the Glacis, as well as accidents on Luxembourg's roads.

A young man was attacked by three other men at the Glacis at around 7.40pm. The muggers ripped a chain from the victim's neck and fled in the direction of Royal Hamilius from Limpertsberg. The victim was uninjured.

At around 9pm, a motorist lost control of her vehicle between Leudelange and Roedgen, crashing into a tree. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, suffered minor injuries. She was found to be over the legal alcohol limit and received a driving ban. Police also withdrew her licence.

On Friday morning, around half past six, a motorist lost control of his car on the N1 between Wecker and Potaschbierg, crashing into a tree and eventually coming to a stop in a nearby field. The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
