Police responded to two incidents on Monday – a mugging in Howald and the arrest of a wanted individual in the Gare neighbourhood.
On Monday evening, a mugging took place on Boulevard des Scillas in Howald. According to preliminary reports, two assailants stole a pedestrian’s mobile phone and cash, injuring the victim in the process. After receiving initial treatment at the scene, the victim was hospitalised for further care. Police launched a search for the suspects, but it proved unsuccessful. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
In a separate incident on Monday morning, Luxembourg City police responded to reports of a heavily intoxicated individual on Rue André Duscher in the Gare neighbourhood. Upon inspection, officers discovered that the individual was subject to an arrest warrant. Following a medical evaluation, the person was transferred to Schrassig prison.
