A pedestrian was attacked by two individuals on Rue Michel Lentz, who grabbed the victim and forced them to hand over their wallet. The suspects later fled down Rue Marie Muller Tesch.
Police launched an investigation into the incident.
In Sandweiler, two suspected burglars were taken into custody following incidents overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday. Police reported five break-ins and one attempted break-in at restaurants and shops around Sandweiler. Officers arrested two individuals in relation to the burglaries; one of whom was taken to the Dreiborn juvenile detention centre, while the other was brought before an investigating judge on Wednesday.
