The current restrictions comprise a curfew between 11pm and 6am, permitting only essential travel, and households may mix with up to 2 guests from another household.
Non-essential stores and salons may remain open, under strict hygiene limitations - serving just one client per 10 square metres.

Cultural and sporting activities may take place under similar restrictions. However, the Horesca sector, comprising restaurants, bars and cafés, will remain closed.

The new Covid law will include changes for the medical sector and for entrepreneurs, providing the following:

  • The addition of doctors currently undergoing specialisation training to the list of people authorised to temporarily carry out the activities of a physician.
  • The extension of State support towards employers and non-salaried workers in a precarious financial situation due to the crisis. The default interest for social contributions arrears will be suspended between 1 January and 30 June 2021.
  • The State will also take into account operating expenses of certain companies for February and March 2021.
