A big surprise that engendered a lack of understanding for many cross-border commuters and tourists who wanted to fill up on Tuesday morning.
None of the 15 available pumps for cars and vans were delivering fuel.
“Pump not available” was the message on the display screens.
The inconvenience was the result of a complete overhaul to the computer system. “It’s difficult to say how long it will take,” gently explained a cashier when facing motorists’ questions.
The station later confirmed that “there is no shortage, simply an update that will be completed soon.”
