A police patrol in Bereldange were made aware of a motorist driving dangerously in the neighbourhood on Thursday. When checked, officers found the man was heavily intoxicated, and confiscated his licence immediately.
On Thursday evening, a driver was caught speeding at 174 km/h in a 90 km/h zone on the A1 motorway, near the Howald tunnel. Police pulled the vehicle over shortly before 11pm and confiscated the driver’s licence.
On the A13 towards Pétange, another driver was caught speeding, but ignored police demands to stop. A patrol car caught up with the vehicle past the Biff roundabout, where they found the woman driving was visibly intoxicated. She refused to undergo a breathalyser test and was also made to hand over her driving licence.
