On Monday morning, the police confirmed that the motorcyclist sustained severe injuries in a collision on Nelson Mandela Street around 5.30pm.
The car suffered significant damage, but the driver emerged unharmed.
According to a police statement, the motorcyclist suffered serious leg injuries and has been hospitalized. Fortunately, his life is not in danger.
The emergency medical services, firefighters, and two ambulances were dispatched, along with a police patrol.
