The Water Management Authority has warned of further flooding over the coming 24 hours, issuing vigilance warnings for Friday and Saturday.
The Moselle river is expected to pass the warning threshold of 5.30 metres in Stadtbredimus on Saturday morning if the heavy rainfall continues.
However, the water levels are expected to rise further with continued rain showers and melting snow. As of 11am on Friday morning, the Moselle levels had risen to 4.30 metres.
Further information on the changing river levels can be found at inondations.lu.
The Ministry has also issued a PDF (in Luxembourgish) with further details.
