Mondorf-les-Bains alderman and Green Party candidate for the legislative elections Steve Schleck has been sentenced for drink driving.

In October, police officers stopped Schleck, the older brother of cyclists Andy and Fränk Schleck, to discover he had a blood alcohol content of 2.74‰.

Schleck showed in court for the trial and on Tuesday, was sentenced to a €1,000 fine and a 28-month driving ban, of which 24 months are suspended so he can continue his work.
