Final days of Christmas shoppingMixed results recorded in the capital during final open Sunday of the year

RTL Today
While merchants from Luxembourg City recorded meagre results on the final open Sunday of the year, those located in shopping centres were more successful.

Although numerous people went to Luxembourg City on the fourth Advent, not many used the open Sunday to go shopping. Mireille Rhame-Bley from the capital’s merchant association spoke of a rather mixed day in terms of sales.

A Bertrange shopping centre, however, managed to draw more people thanks to the cold and icy temperatures of the past week.

People will still have time until Saturday to complete their final Christmas shopping for this year, with stores in Luxembourg remaining open until 4pm on 24 December.
