Bofferding was responding to a parliamentary enquiry from ADR MP Fred Keup.

Out of the 102 municipal zoning plans, the ministry has only approved the so-called PAG ("plan d'aménagement général") in 53 cases. In four instances, the deadline was extended so that the municipalities in question have more time to file their building plans. However, Minister Bofferding emphasises that no further extensions will be awarded.

34 municipalities are currently applying for authorisation of the PAG, while 14 others have not yet started.

Minister Bofferding also conveys that there are currently sanctions in place against some municipalities who failed to renew their PAG plans before a deadline on 1 November 2019.

The PAG plans that have been approved so far state that a total of 13,700 buildings will be classified as deserving protection.
