Urgent parliamentary enquiryMinister Gloden pressed on oversight as mail-in ballots lack instructions

RTL Today
MP Meris Sehovic of The Greens has urgently questioned Luxembourg's Home Affairs Minister Léon Gloden about missing or incorrect voting instructions in mail-in ballots for the European elections, just two weeks before election day.

MP Meris Sehovic of The Greens filed an urgent parliamentary enquiry regarding the organisation of the European elections just two weeks ahead of election day in Luxembourg. Addressing the Minister for Home Affairs, Léon Gloden, Sehovic drew attention to the fact that some of the mail-in ballots, which have been sent out as early last week, failed to include voting instructions, in some instances even suggesting that people can only cast five votes.

Noting that this means that some people are not given pertinent or even faulty information, Sehovic demanded to know how many municipalities are affected, how the Minister evaluates this oversight, and how he intends to correct it.

Given that the enquiry’s urgency was approved, Minister Gloden only has one week to provide an official response.
