On Friday evening, the Grand Ducal police sent a patrol to Troisvierges after receiving a call from a distraught woman. She had called the authorities after being harassed by her ex-partner, who had allegedly taken the keys to the flat they shared in the past.
When the man in question heard that the police were on their way, he fled. However, he did not get very far on his attempted escape as officers eventually detained him and brought him before an examining magistrate on Saturday afternoon.
It turned out that the man had been threatening his ex-girlfriend since lunchtime and he now has to answer for his actions before the Luxembourg courts.
