The woman sustained injuries to the face, after her boyfriend had punched her. The police contacted the emergency services, which subsequently took the woman to hospital.
Following a brief search, officers were able to find the culprit and brought him to the local police station. The man was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor's office and presented to an examining magistrate that same morning.
