Workers across France will join picket lines on Tuesday as part of a new wave of protests against plans to raise the retirement age to 64. The rail strike will start to impact trains from 7pm on Monday evening, affecting CFL lines 70 and 90 between Luxembourg and French border regions.

CFL warned that disruption is likely to last through Tuesday until around 3pm on Wednesday, with partial cancellations on the line between Rodange and Longwy (line 70). Passengers hoping to travel between Luxembourg and Thionville/Metz/Nancy/Paris Est/Montpellier/Marseille will also be subjected to disruptions lasting until midnight on Wednesday.

The outlook for air travel is not much better, with further strikes planned across French airports.

For further information, check the CFL website prior to travelling.
