A bit of wreckage, a few heart-stopping moments, but thankfully, no serious injuries. The police intercepted several motorists driving under the influence in Luxembourg.
One of them, displaying erratic driving, was reported to the police in the late afternoon in Rambrouch. His blood alcohol test came back positive, leading to the revocation of his driving license.
Simultaneously, another motorist swerved several times on the opposite lane while traveling between Arsdorf and Boulaide. The police imposed the same penalty on him: a license suspension.
In the evening, around 10pm, the police intervened to halt a motorist who had disregarded several red lights in the Hollerich district, in Luxembourg City. The driver evidently struggled to follow the instructions of the officers on the scene. A test confirmed that he had consumed alcohol. This marked the third license revoked for the evening.
Shortly before 11pm, a considerably damaged vehicle was reported on the road to Stadtbredimus. The driver seemed determined to continue the journey. The police learned that the vehicle had sustained damage at a construction site. However, the blood alcohol test administered to the driver yielded a positive result, resulting in the withdrawal of another driving license.
Finally, a last driver was stopped between Esch-sur-Alzette and Rumelange. He “clearly did not have control of his vehicle,” as per the police. Like those before him, his license was revoked.
