“The Pension Fund must finally stop investing in nuclear power,” the Action Committee against Nuclear Power demands in an open letter to Minister of Social Security Claude Haagen.

The committee demands that nuclear power be removed from the 2023-2027 agenda, stating that “nuclear power is dangerous, not environmentally friendly, and not climate neutral.” The committee is made up of about 20 non-governmental organisations, trade unions, and political parties. The Luxembourg Socialist Workers’ Party (LSAP), the party of Minister Claude Haagen, is also a member.
