On Thursday 23, the European Commission decided to sue the Grand Duchy for failing to implement EU-wide regulations concerned with the purchase and ownership of firearms in Luxembourg.

The directive in question was put forward in 2017, and member states were required to implement it on a national level by September 2018. The Commission now alleges that the Grand Duchy has failed to comply with the EU regulations, within the allotted time-frame, adding that the country continues to flirts with noncompliance to this day.
