Humanitarian missionLuxembourg Red Cross continues supporting Ukraine's Donbas region

RTL Today
The Luxembourg Red Cross, which has made it its mission to help as many Ukrainians as there are people living in the Grand Duchy, continues providing much-needed support in Ukraine's war-torn Donbas region.

The International Red Cross currently has 32,000 volunteers, including 15 Luxembourgers, working in six different locations in Ukraine.

Due to electricity cuts in many regions of the country, the cold weather is becoming a real threat. A number of municipalities are also unable to provide clean water.

The Luxembourg Red Cross is providing help on the ground in Ukraine’s Donbas region. The organisation has already delivered medicine to more than 20 different hospitals and continues offering support where needed.

While the organisation helps around 1,100 refugees from Ukraine who fled to Luxembourg and now live in private homes or temporary facilities, the Luxembourg Red Cross has also made it its mission to help as many Ukrainians as there are people living in the Grand Duchy. With 670,000 individuals, that goal is said to have been reached already.
