Luxembourg has secured the 32nd position among the most desirable countries to work in, as revealed in a press release from jobs.lu, a subsidiary of Stepstone. This ranking marks a notable improvement for the Grand Duchy compared to its positions in 2020 (36th) and 2018 (38th). Additionally, Luxembourg City has been placed 48th among global capital cities in terms of attractiveness for employment.

The survey highlights, among other things, the origins of individuals expressing interest in working in Luxembourg. Among them, 11% of Portuguese nationals, 6% of Pakistani and Belgian workers, and 5% of French respondents list Luxembourg as one of their top three preferred work destinations.

Key factors identified by the survey influencing foreign workers’ interest in the Benelux countries include the quality of job opportunities (cited by 66% of respondents), the overall quality of life (65%), and the perceived security and stability of the environment (48%).

Notably, the top three most attractive capital cities for employment are London, Amsterdam, and Dubai, while Australia, the United States, and Canada emerge as the most appealing countries overall for foreign workers.
