By 5.30pm on Friday evening, police responded to reports of an aggressive individual harassing passers-by at Place de la Gare, also in the Gare neighbourhood. The individual was apprehended on-site. Due to their persistent aggressive behaviour and significant intoxication, posing a danger to themselves and public order, they were taken into custody following a medical examination.
Earlier that evening, at approximately 5.20pm, police were alerted to an incident on a train bound for Wasserbillig. A visibly inebriated individual had assaulted a ticket inspector after already attracting negative attention at Mertert station. This individual was also detained overnight.
Later, at around 11.50pm, officers in Luxembourg City intervened in an argument between two heavily intoxicated individuals on Rue Joseph Junk, near the central railway station. Both individuals were becoming increasingly agitated and aggressive, leading to their detention to ensure public safety.
