Luxembourg police have arrested close to 100 suspected drug dealers since the beginning of 2026, with the majority of arrests taking place in the capital, according to the latest police bulletin published on Wednesday.
The bulletin reiterated that the fight against crime linked to the illicit drug trade remains the force's "absolute priority." On the ground, police say their visible and deterrent presence in areas known for drug trafficking continues to be reinforced, alongside targeted checks and operations designed to catch offenders in the act.
The figures suggest the approach has been working well. To put the numbers in context, 216 suspected dealers were arrested throughout 2025, of whom 192 were caught in the act and 24 were apprehended on the basis of arrest warrants.
