The Luxembourg Police app, which provides residents with important updates such as calls for witnesses and missing person reports, is currently unavailable in the Apple App Store.
The Luxembourg Police have acknowledged the issue, confirming to our colleagues from RTL.lu that it stems from a “strictly procedural formality.” The police are now awaiting feedback from Apple and expect the problem to be resolved “as soon as possible.”
The app serves as a valuable tool for the public, offering features such as calls for witnesses, missing person alerts, and crime prevention tips. Through push notifications, users can receive direct and timely updates, including information about wanted suspects.
One of its key functions is “My Safe,” which allows users to store details about their valuables in a single location. In cases of theft or burglary, this feature enables users to quickly compile and email essential information to officers handling their complaint.
Additionally, the app includes an emergency call function and a “chat” feature, which lets users send text messages to the police emergency number (113) when making a phone call is not possible.
