MétéoluxLuxembourg placed under yellow alert for heavy rainfall

RTL Today
A continuous downpour soaked Luxembourg on Wednesday, and the forecast from Météolux suggests that more rain is on the horizon.

Following several weeks of mild weather, Luxembourg’s residents should now brace for a gloomy and wet period. Météolux has issued a yellow alert for Luxembourg, which will take effect around 11pm tonight.

The national weather service anticipates heavy rainfall, ranging between 15 and 20 litres per square metre. This yellow alert will remain in place until 7am on Friday.

However, although the alert will be lifted, this does not signal an immediate improvement in weather conditions. According to Météolux’s extended forecast, the rain is expected to persist until the end of Tuesday.

The rain will be accompanied by wind gusts of up to 65 km/h.
