The situation for people in the Gaza Strip continues being precarious, with scarce humanitarian aid having been delivered via overland routes for months. Recently, several nations have taken steps to airdrop relief packages over the disaster-stricken area.
Over the weekend, the USA initiated its first airborne relief distributions. In a joint operation with Jordan, US transport planes dropped over 36,000 food packages over Gaza on Tuesday. France and Egypt also participated in the relief effort.

According to a social media update from the Luxembourg Ministry of Defence, a collaborative effort involving a Belgian-Luxembourgish A400M plane is set to be carried out over the Gaza Strip in the upcoming days. Departing from Jordan, the A400M will deploy relief supplies using parachutes. A pilot from the Luxembourg Army will be involved in this bmission, along with 40 members of the Belgian Army.
On Monday, the A400M, bound for Jordan, took off from the Melsbroek air base.
