On Thursday, Asselborn met his UK counterpart James Cleverly in London to sign a declaration to solidify their commitment to fostering joint cooperation. The agreement encompasses a wide array of collaborative endeavours, spanning crucial domains such as defence, economy, finance, energy, and the fight against climate change.
Both Asselborn and Cleverly stressed the importance of such agreements, considering the substantial presence of British nationals in the Grand Duchy, estimated at 4,000 individuals, as well as the 1,800 Luxembourgish residents in the UK.
