Although he's not even a year old, Prince François, the son of Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume and Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie, has already made his first appearance during a public outing.

On Tuesday, Prince François accompanied his parents on his first official outing to a care home in Neudorf. The royal couple, alongside Acting Minister for Family Affairs Max Hahn, paid a visit to the “Elysis” care home, using the opportunity to introduce their youngest family member to the facility’s residents.

The Grand Ducal Court shared images of the visit on social media platforms on Thursday. Despite this being his first public appearance, young Prince François embraced his role with an infectious and curious smile, swiftly endearing himself to the care home’s residents.

Prince François was born on 27 March 2023 at the Grand Duchess Charlotte Maternity Hospital. He is the younger brother of Prince Charles, who celebrated his third birthday in May. As highlighted in a statement by the nursing home, little François “has captured hearts and brought lasting smiles to the residents.”

During the visit, the Hereditary Grand Duchess displayed a particular interest in the art and music therapy programmes on offer, a facet of the home that works to improve the well-being of its residents.
