Four people were injured in separate road incidents on Sunday evening, while emergency services were also called out to several fires, smoke development, and a lightning strike.

According to the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS), four separate road incidents were reported from Sunday evening onwards, each leaving one person injured.

At around 6.15pm, a car hit the crash barrier on the A13 slip road towards Pétange. Another accident occurred on the downhill stretch from the Aire de Wasserbillig service area towards the village, where a car slid into a ditch.

In two further cases, the automatic emergency call system in a vehicle was triggered. One incident took place at the Iergäertchen roundabout, while the other occurred between Pintsch and Bockholtz.

Fire and lightning

The CGDIS also responded to several fire-related incidents. During Sunday night, a fire broke out on a construction site in Gasperich. In Rollingergrund, firefighters were called out after a washing machine caught fire. No one was injured.

Earlier in the evening, at around 7.15pm, smoke was reported in an empty house in Howald. Shortly before 7.30pm, lightning struck a house on Rue Boland in Grevenmacher. No injuries were reported.
