The police confirmed to our colleagues from RTL.lu that the suspicious letters ultimately turned out to be harmless.

The envelopes were reported to the police at 11.30am, and the intervention reportedly concluded shortly after 12pm.

Correction: Contrary to earlier report, no evacuation took place.
