Earlier today, Eltrona informed customers of a major outage affecting its network due to a technical failure – the extent of which was unclear at the time.
RTL received multiple reports of internet and television services being down in various parts of Luxembourg since Thursday morning.
In the afternoon, the company issued a statement confirming a technical incident following a planned intervention. The issue led to an interruption of service affecting three quarters of the company's area of coverage and one quarter of total clients, they said.
The outage lasted from 10am to 1pm, after which service was progressively established.
In the statement, Eltrona extended an apology to the affected clients.
