At around 9.30 pm, a motorist ran into a parked car on Route de Belvaux in Oberkorn before driving away. He was found shortly afterwards by a police, and an alcohol test showed he had been drink driving. His driving license was revoked on the spot.

Roughly around the same time, a brawl between several people was reported on rue de Bonnevoie in Verlorenkost, in which one person was slightly injured on the hand. Police patrols arrived and brought the situation under control fairly quickly, seizing a pocket knife and a small quantity of cannabis. The public prosecutor’s office was informed of the incident and ordered an official report to be drawn up and the knife and drugs to be seized.

The authorities were also alerted to an incident of vandalism at the Wasserbillig service area at around 2.25 am, and were able to intercept the man in question. According to the report, the man was visibly agitated after having had a verbal altercation with two other people, who had already moved away. Given he was clearly under the influence of alcohol and was about to step into his car, a breathalyser test was carried out. The result of the test was positive and his driving licence was withdrawn.

Shortly after 3 am, a police patrol stopped a motorist on boulevard Franklin Roosevelt in Luxembourg City. During the check, the officers noticed that the driver was carrying an axe on his arm, which the police asked the driver to put down. The motorist did accordingly, without flinching, and tested positive for alcohol. He received a driving ban and the incident has been written up in an official report.
